What is FlightLeague and who is it for?
FlightLeague is an aviation and travel logging app built for two different kinds of users in one place. Pilot mode is for pilots and student pilots who want a digital flight logbook, training progress, stats, and community features. Traveler mode is for passengers and travel enthusiasts who want to log trips, airlines, routes, and travel milestones. Both modes include profiles, social features, badges, maps, and leaderboards. The main difference is what you log and how your stats are calculated. If you fly aircraft yourself, Pilot mode will usually fit best. If you mainly travel as a passenger, Traveler mode is the better starting point.
Should I choose Pilot mode or Traveler mode?
Choose Pilot mode if you want to log pilot-specific details such as flight hours, landings, instrument time, holds, aircraft, and training progress. Choose Traveler mode if you want to log airline trips, flight numbers, seat details, countries, and travel history as a passenger or enthusiast. Both modes support profiles, maps, badges, leaderboards, and social sharing. The choice matters because it changes your dashboard, the fields you log, and the types of stats you see. If you are a student pilot or qualified pilot, Pilot mode is usually the right fit. If you are tracking journeys rather than operating the aircraft, Traveler mode is the clearer option.
How do I create a FlightLeague account?
You can create an account with email and password, or by using Google or Apple sign-in where available on your device. After starting signup, you will be guided through verification and profile setup so the app can personalise your experience properly. During onboarding, you will choose Pilot or Traveler mode, add your name, set a few profile details, and build your first version of your account. If signup pauses because verification is still pending, that is normal. FlightLeague keeps the flow as smooth as possible so you can continue once your account is confirmed. If you run into trouble, check that you entered a valid email and that your verification link opens the app correctly.
What happens during onboarding?
Onboarding sets up your profile and personalises the app for the way you use aviation or travel. Every user adds a full name, home airport, bio, profile photo if they want one, a generated friend code, and a mode selection. Pilot users can also add details such as licence type, years of experience, and aircraft ratings. Traveler users can set a favourite airline, travel goal, and seat preference. These details help shape your dashboard, profile, stats, and social identity. You do not need to fill every optional field perfectly on day one. You can come back and refine your profile later from your settings or profile screen.
Can I use FlightLeague without posting publicly?
Yes. FlightLeague includes social features, but you do not need to use them publicly if you prefer a more private experience. Both pilots and travelers can control visibility on logged flights or trips, and you can keep entries private if that better suits your needs. Public entries may appear in social feeds or be visible to others, while private entries stay out of public view. This is useful if you want the benefits of logging, maps, badges, and stats without sharing every detail. If privacy matters to you, it is worth reviewing your default visibility preference early in setup so new entries behave the way you expect.
What can I do on the free version of FlightLeague?
The free version lets you get started with the core FlightLeague experience, including creating an account, choosing Pilot or Traveler mode, building a profile, logging activity, and using the main social and dashboard features. Some higher-volume or deeper tools are limited on the free tier, such as manual logging volume, AI scan usage, some export access, advanced analytics, and the full training and quiz library. That means you can still explore the product and use the core workflows before deciding whether Pro is worth it for you. If you log often or want deeper analysis and learning tools, Pro simply removes more of those limits rather than changing the basic way the app works.
What should I expect on the home dashboard?
The home dashboard is your central overview screen and changes slightly depending on whether you use Pilot or Traveler mode. In both modes, it can show a welcome area, key stats, recent activity, route map elements, badges, and shortcuts into your main workflows. Pilot users may also see items such as currency status, aircraft summaries, training progress, and flight-focused cards. Traveler users see trip-oriented summaries and travel identity in the same overall layout. New accounts may also show a getting-started checklist or setup prompts. If the dashboard looks sparse at first, that usually just means you have not logged enough activity yet for the richer cards and summaries to fill in.
Is FlightLeague useful for student pilots?
Yes, especially in Pilot mode. FlightLeague is designed to support student pilots with digital flight logging, progress visibility, training sections, quizzes, mock exams, XP, badges, and dashboard prompts that make early progress feel clearer. You can log flights, track key details like landings or instrument work, and use the training side of the app to keep learning organised. More experienced pilots can still use those tools, but they are especially helpful when you are trying to build consistency and see your progress over time. If you are learning to fly, the combination of logbook, training, stats, and motivation tools is one of the app’s strongest use cases.
