Last updated: 2 July 2026. Applies to flightleague.app, FlightLeague web services, and the FlightLeague mobile application.
FlightLeague is operated by a UK-based sole trader. The operator's formal legal identity and an appropriate service address are available on request where there is a legitimate legal need, including for users, regulators, courts, app stores, payment providers, and formal notices. Contact hello@flightleague.app.
1. Acceptance
These terms form an agreement between you and FlightLeague. By accessing the website, creating an account, using the app, using Pro features, or continuing to use the service after an update to these terms, you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree, do not use FlightLeague. If you are using FlightLeague on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for them.
2. The Service
FlightLeague provides a mobile app and website for pilots, student pilots, travellers, and aviation enthusiasts. Current features may include flight and trip logging, pilot and traveller profiles, route maps, dashboards, currency and recency tracking, airline loyalty tracking, destination bucket lists, badges, challenges, leaderboards, social feed features, friend connections, comments, reactions, reports, blocking, notifications, training, quiz and flashcard study tools, AI-assisted features, imports, share cards, CSV and PDF exports, signed logbook export verification, public verification pages, customer support, status pages, waitlist forms, Pro checkout and subscription management.
We may add, change, suspend, limit, rename, or remove features as the product evolves. Some features may be beta, experimental, rate-limited, Pro-only, available by waitlist, unavailable in some locations, or unavailable on some devices. We try not to remove core paid functionality during an active paid period without a good reason. If we make a material change to paid Pro features, pricing, or renewal terms, we will give reasonable notice where practical and where required by law.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use FlightLeague. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian and they are responsible for your use of the service.
You must comply with all laws and regulations that apply to your use of FlightLeague, including aviation, privacy, consumer, payment, export, and online safety rules where relevant.
4. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login details secure.
You must not share, sell, transfer, or misuse accounts.
Tell us promptly at hello@flightleague.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend, restrict, or close an account if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, the account creates a safety, security, legal, fraud, payment, or abuse risk, or we are required to act by law, a regulator, a payment provider, or an app store. Where appropriate, we may give notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue.
5. Aviation Safety and Records
FlightLeague is a social, training-support, analytics, and logging tool. It is not certified aviation software, flight planning software, navigation software, aircraft maintenance software, air traffic information, regulatory advice, or a substitute for an official pilot logbook where one is required.
You are responsible for checking all flight records, route data, currency data, training content, quiz content, AI outputs, timing estimates, analytics, exports, verification links, certificates, hashes, QR records, signature attestations, and calculations before relying on them. Signed CSV and signed PDF exports can help show that a FlightLeague export corresponds to a verification record, but they are not a guarantee of legal acceptance, regulatory compliance, aircraft operation, training completion, or official logbook status. You remain solely responsible for safe operation, regulatory compliance, official record keeping, licensing, training requirements, medical fitness, weather decisions, flight planning, aircraft suitability, and all real-world aviation decisions.
Leaderboards, badges, challenges, or social features must never be used to encourage unsafe flying, rule-breaking, falsified records, or pressure to fly.
6. User Content
You keep ownership of content you add to FlightLeague, including flight logs, trip logs, photos, imported records, profile information, loyalty entries, bucket-list items, study sets, comments, reactions, reports, support messages, DM report evidence, DM blocked-draft explanations, and other material you submit. You give FlightLeague a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, process, modify for technical formatting, transmit, and use that content only as needed to operate, protect, improve, moderate, enforce, and support the service in line with your privacy and visibility settings.
We will not use your private flight logs, private trip logs, private photos, private messages, or private profile information in marketing. If we ever want to feature user content publicly outside the normal app experience, we will use content you made public or ask for permission where appropriate.
If you mark content public, or interact in social areas, other users may see it. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share any content you provide.
If you import data into FlightLeague, upload files for support, or submit content for export verification, you confirm you have the right to do so, and you remain responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of those records and files.
We may remove, restrict, or refuse content that we reasonably believe breaks these terms, infringes rights, creates safety or privacy risk, is unlawful, is misleading, or harms FlightLeague or other users.
7. Acceptable Use
You must not:
Use FlightLeague unlawfully, fraudulently, deceptively, or harmfully.
Harass, threaten, impersonate, abuse, exploit, or endanger anyone.
Falsify flight records, trip records, leaderboard entries, badges, training progress, export verification records, reports, support requests, or subscription status.
Use direct messages or social features for grooming, coercion, harassment, sexual pressure, scams, blackmail, unsafe meetings, off-platform contact pressure, or attempts to obtain sensitive personal information.
Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, paywalls, moderation, account restrictions, or access controls.
Scrape, copy, resell, reverse engineer, decompile, interfere with, or misuse the service except where law expressly allows.
Upload malware, spam, automated requests, or anything that disrupts the service.
8. Direct Messages and Moderation
FlightLeague may offer direct messages between mutual friends. Delivered direct messages, including eligible media such as photos and voice notes, are designed to be end-to-end encrypted so FlightLeague cannot ordinarily read or listen to them.
Messaging is subject to safety checks and moderation. A draft blocked by the on-device safety system is not delivered and does not become part of the encrypted conversation. Instead, the blocked draft, safety categories, scores, account and thread details, and any explanation the sender adds may be sent unencrypted to FlightLeague's restricted moderation queue for review. If a participant reports a delivered message, their device may upload the selected message and limited surrounding context in plaintext as evidence. Authorised moderators may review blocked drafts, explanations, and reported evidence and may warn, restrict, suspend, or ban accounts where appropriate.
You are responsible for keeping your messaging recovery code safe. If you reset your messaging identity or lose access to recovery information, old encrypted messages may be unrecoverable.
9. Subscriptions, Payments, and Pro Features
Some features may require a paid Pro subscription, other purchase, test grant, or waitlist access. Prices, renewal terms, included features, trial terms, taxes, and cancellation options will be shown at or before checkout where applicable. If a feature is described as experimental, beta, test-only, or coming soon, it may change more often than stable paid features.
Payments may be processed by Stripe, an app store, or another payment provider. We do not store full card details. Your payment provider may have separate terms and privacy notices.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal, depending on the checkout flow used. You are responsible for managing cancellations through the place where you purchased, unless we provide another cancellation route.
Refunds are handled according to the checkout provider's process and any mandatory consumer rights that apply. Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights that cannot legally be limited. For digital services supplied immediately, you may be asked to acknowledge that access starts immediately and that cancellation rights may be affected as permitted by law.
We may change Pro features or pricing in the future. If a change materially reduces the paid features available during your current paid period, we will give reasonable notice where practical and will not limit any cancellation, refund, or consumer rights you have under applicable law or the checkout provider's rules.
10. Privacy and Deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and retain personal data. By using FlightLeague, you acknowledge that your data will be processed as described there.
You can request account deletion or exercise privacy rights by using in-app controls where available or by emailing hello@flightleague.app. Account deletion removes or anonymises personal data from active systems as soon as reasonably practical. Some records may be retained for limited periods where required for legal, payment, tax, security, fraud-prevention, backup, export-verification, or dispute purposes. The Privacy Policy gives more detail about retention and your rights.
11. Availability and Changes
FlightLeague is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent storage, compatibility with every device, or that every feature will remain available.
We may perform maintenance, fix bugs, update content, change providers, limit usage, revoke test access, pause checkout, or suspend features where reasonably needed for security, legal compliance, operational reasons, app store requirements, payment provider requirements, or product development. Where a planned change materially affects active paid users, we aim to give notice where practical.
12. Intellectual Property
FlightLeague, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, generated interfaces, databases, and non-user content, is owned by FlightLeague or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use FlightLeague for its intended purpose, subject to these terms. No rights are transferred except those expressly stated.
13. Third-Party Services
FlightLeague may integrate with or link to app stores, payment providers, maps, authentication providers, AI providers, email providers, hosting providers, storage providers, device services, aviation data providers, and other third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, outages, terms, or privacy practices.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, deliberate misconduct, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Subject to the previous sentence and to your mandatory legal rights, FlightLeague is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses; loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity, or reputation; aviation decisions; inaccurate user entries; AI outputs; export acceptance decisions; moderation decisions made in good faith; third-party services; outages; or unauthorised access beyond our reasonable control.
Subject to mandatory legal rights, our total liability for claims relating to FlightLeague is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to FlightLeague for the service in the 12 months before the claim or GBP 100. This cap does not reduce any refund, cancellation, chargeback, or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.
15. Your Responsibility for Claims
If your breach of these terms, misuse of FlightLeague, unlawful conduct, or content you provide causes a claim, loss, cost, or liability for FlightLeague, you agree to reimburse us where legally permitted. This does not limit any statutory consumer rights.
16. Ending Use
You may stop using FlightLeague at any time. You can request account deletion through the app where available or by contacting us.
We may suspend, restrict, remove content, revoke Pro or test access, limit messaging, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, created a safety, security, legal, fraud, payment, or abuse risk, failed to pay, misused the service, or if we are required to act by law, a regulator, payment provider, app store, or court. Where appropriate, we may give a warning or an opportunity to appeal, but urgent or serious risks may require immediate action.
Sections intended to survive termination, including intellectual property, privacy, payment obligations, liability limits, dispute terms, and content licences needed for prior use, continue after your access ends.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date above and provide reasonable notice of material changes where required. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept the updated terms.
18. Law and Contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where your local mandatory consumer law gives you additional rights. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right you have to bring a claim in your local courts.
